The title of the exhibition refers to the concept of sign, an action used to convey information or an instruction. Hence the idea of making signs and gestures of the design process: erasing, connecting, highlighting. Grafica Italiana Contemporanea is the story of the current panorama but also the comparison with the past, the signs are also the plurality of voices, given by the quality of the lines. At the base of the layouts there is a symmetrical grid on which typography and signs play on different levels, revealing the underlying structure. The font is Salmanazar Medium by Juliette Collin, a distinctly crafted look, with its own unique characteristics such as its vertical proportions, and its increasingly unusual contrast in the grotesque landscape.
